Our company has developed an expertise in infrastructure and port development for agro-based bulk commodities. Having coastal operations in critical agricultural commodity belts gives us an optimal advantage in export performance.
MGPL developed the Vijaydurg Sea Port for its molasses operations. Vijaydurg is situated 425 KM from Mumbai and has average depths in excess of 100 feet at anchorage. It is a four-hour national highway drive from South Goa. Its proximity to the sugar producing belt makes it an ideal location in terms of operations. Unlike the more popular ports, the sea traffic at Vijaydurg is minimum and operations take place 24 hours a day without any disturbances. Here, we have two storage tanks where we can store GMP and Non GMP certified Molasses separately.
Currently we are working on our proposed development of a liquid handling terminal at Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu, which will have a capacity to store 40,000 MT of Molasses and 15,000 MT of edible oil.
